Children and Youth

Kingswood Church has had a special emphasis on work with children since its foundation, see History.

We have a monthly All Age Worship Service, usually on the first Sunday morning of the month, at 10a.m.

On all other Sunday mornings the Navigators, ages 4-14, meet.

The Toddler Groups are held twice weekly for parents with very young children to meet, play and talk together.

We have a very active holiday Playscheme, the main event being a week at the start of the summer holidays, with one morning of activities during the half-term holidays.

Kingswood also co-organises an eucumenical Youth Group called R4G with the local Anglican Church, Saint Leonard's and Grangewood Methodist Church. It meets twice a month.

In addition, Kingswood Church functions as a Community Centre and there are a large number of groups and individuals using our church building to offer services to children and youths, including scouting, a playgroup, dancing and music lessons.

Children and teenagers often have a very rich spiritual life, and we find that they minister as much to the adults as the other way around. So if you are an adult without children, you can still benefit from our programs by volunteering!

Just call the contact person for the group you are interested in helping with.
