The Methodist Church has always been a strong advocate of social justice.
We continue this tradition by being involved in a number of national and local charities such as :-
- Christian Aid,
- National Children's Homes,
- The South Africa charity Phakamisa
- The Nottingham charity - The Vineyard Arches Project (fights homelessness
- Family Care
- The Methodist Relief and Development Fund.
Our church supports a fairer world through Fair Trade and there are regular Traidcraft stalls, sometimes after the church service and sometimes at events such as CaféCameo.
Every year we join the Wollaton churches in fund raising for Christian Aid during Christian Aid Week.
In addition to the work by the church in general, many of the church social groups also have close links to their own charities, such as the Guild's Nigerian Healthcare Programme.
